When I sat down to write today’s post, I sensed the Lord say, “ok girl, so…when were you going to carve out sometime for me this week?” and I was like, “oh snap, Lord! You’re right!”
So I abandoned writing today and just sat at Starbucks with a teeny pop song playing in my iPod, just grooving to the techno beat and thinking about how much I dig Jesus.
When he dropped this cool idea to tell the next part of my story—the unwed and pregnant in a deeply religious environment part—on me, I was like, “oh I’m so doing that on the blog next week”. So I need the weekend to research and write the next conviction of our tribe: Friend, Describe our tribe Leader.
But today, we’re taking a s’mores break!!!! Yay!!!! (chocolate, marshmallows, and graham crackers REQUIRE excessive exclamation points—and cap).
One of my favorite Scriptures is Psalm 34:8, “taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the one who takes refuge in the Lord”.
So when you see this header, I encourage you to take some time, listen to some good music (see playlist below for suggestions, I left my pop song inspiration off for now…you’ll see why soon…) and take refuge in the Lord. Ponder some questions from this past week. Taste and see that the Lord is good!
Ooey, Gooey s’mores are optional (but totally suggested).
Benediction/blessing from yesterday:
I wish you incredible courage to ask Jesus one hard question. I wish you incredible patience to listen even if it’s uncomfortable and I wish strength to keep challenging our Jesus—he can take it, in fact, he welcomes it.
I’m praying for you, friends and I’ll be back tomorrow with the FMF reworked for our tribe.
