My name is Osheta. It's pronounced, "O-she-da" and so many people have asked if it means something. It doesn't. My dad just made it up.
But if I were to go to Urban Dictionary and create a definition for my name it might say something like this:
An ENFJ mama who loves parties, people, and popcorn with red wine. A pastor's wife who is convinced God has a sense of humor. A Peacemaker who loves Jesus a lot and cusses... a little. An optimistic cookbook reader. A hopeless romantic. A goofball with a little bit of sass.

16 hours agoby oshetamToday for “Enough” week I have on our favorite Justice Pirate: Victoria Tiedemann. She tells us how she becomes a "Simple Minimalist" and how rejecting the allure of more, more, more has helped her live into our manifesto point: We are enough! She also answers a question from a listener on seeking shalom through simplicity this holiday season: After my pastor's sermon on Sunday on "Enough" and years of reading books of people who stopped buying things for a set time, I'm seriously flirting/committing myself to limiting purchases in the next year to experiences and necessities." Victoria has me thinking…
15 hours agoby oshetamKeep packing because the movers are coming at 7am tomorrow... or read this adorable book that was just delivered that coincidentally about little girl who moves to a new neighborhood from Sparkhouse ... I mean... I do need to take a break... #procrastinator
4 days agoby oshetamStarting to make progress. Also, I’m undecided on that painting in the back. I love it. It has a really cool back story. I mention it in my book as my picture of Shalom. BUT it’s so big and i can’t for the life of me figure out how to frame it. #Help#packingwoes#takeitorleaveit
5 days agoby oshetamSo...when you’re in the middle of packing up your apartment, you give up any hope of any space being neat, organized, or especially beautiful. It’s even more the case when you’re moving in less than a week. I was literally complaining about how I hate how chaotic everything is, then this lovely welcoming bouquet and chocolate from @rootscov was delivered and I nearly cried because I needed something beautiful to ground me during this week. I now have a reason to keep my counter clear for these flowers so that daily I’m reminded to literally stop and smell the roses…
11 hours agoby oshetamWhen you get a phone call from your movers that they are not only going to be late picking your stuff up BUT they’re canceling your pickup altogether... you and the husband scramble and call every other company you got a quote from until you find a new moving company. Then you stop packing, grab the kids, and take them to Universal Studios for Christmas at Hogwarts. Thanks for the gift, Blake and Debbie! #harrypotter#whenlifegivesyoulemons
