On Thursday, I purchased “Art of Celebration” by Rend Collective Experiment. It’s a wonderful soundtrack of joy. Seriously, every song has me dancing around or throwing my arms up to worship. The first song, “Joy” has this powerful declaration, “We’re choosing celebration” and right now while we’re processing from disappointments ,I need the hope-filled defiance of that phrase. I need to know we can choose celebration. I need to rebel against pain let joy reignite me!
I’m reminded of the Psalm 28:7 NLT:
The LORD is my strength and shield. I trust him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving.
